An
historic view of The Dale/Engle/Walker House, Strawbridge Road,
Lewisburg, PA
The house was built by
Samuel Dale in 1793. The property remained in the Dale family
until 1929 when it was bought by Jacob and Maude Engle. The Engle
family ran a dairy farm on-site 1936-1944. Charles & Rosemary
Walker purchased the property in 1957. After the death of
"Charlie" Walker, the property was bequeathed by the Walker estate to
the Union County Historical Society in 2001. The Society has
worked to restore and renovate the house and farm.
